NUMBER 5: DREAMS CENTER
Love Idoko is really living her dreams. An event center that changed the face of event management in makurdi,it has a 1000 sitting capacity,the most beautifully decorated even TENT in town and it situated in a secured area. Before the introduction of the Dreams center,they were many other event tents,but she had a different concept that blew all our minds,and currently it is the biggest event center in town,having hosted many prestigious events this year from NTA events to Agila unveiling to so many government events the dreams center is trending this year.
NUMBER 4: BAILOUT
The bailout was suppose to bring joy and happiness to the people of Benue state workers had gone 5 months without payment of their salaries. The people waited for the bail out funds like the second coming of Jesus Christ as the governor said it will be paid and weeks went by without been paid. And when it finally came and payment started,it was surrounded with so many controversies as some said their money were cut and other had not received there's. The bailout was so popular that even people who where not expecting money from the bailout spoke so much about it, and investigations have it that up to this point some people are yet to get their money,so the question is DID THE BAILOUT REALLY BAIL US OUT?
NUMBER 3: JAMES PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIOS
This is the best thing to happen to photography in Makurdi, the most popular studio in Makurdi. Almost every Makurdian has got a shot in the studio. Located in the heart of the town,the studio can brag of being one of the most trending brands in the capital, James photography are good with their edits as there can turn a palace slave girl into a princess. I had a visit in the studio and I saw people waiting in turns to get a snap shoot,and I wondered how they did it to make people love them this much. The studio has covered so many occasions in the state from government functions to weddings to photo shoots for top models in the state. James photography don try.
NUMBER 2: LUSH EVENT CENTER
This happens to be my personal favourite on this list,in a time where event planning and decorations was not popular in the state,lush events gave us pride,with outstanding designs and concepts;this event planning company always think out of the box to make their customers smile. Everybody in the state know lush events. Lush event is not afraid of competition as even to the growing number of decorating companies coming up daily,they still stand out. The Nguvan led group has provided employment to so many young boys and girls in the state and has engaged in different humanitarian projects in the state too.
NUMBER ONE: GABRIEL SUSWAM
Making our number one spot is the former governor of Benue state,Gabriel Suswam. He became a trending topic in Benue and Nigeria when it became impossible for him to pay the salaries of civil servants in the state. Arguably one of the most popular Tiv man to ever live,as even after he left office the new governor still mentions his name at any function he attends sometimes for not too good reasons. Suswam had done so good in his first six years as governor and was seen as Benue's best governor yet,but he went from a hero to a vilan when he could no longer pay the people's salary. Even till date suswam is still a trending topic in state.
